1928  |  2011 PRE-RESTORATION

As evidenced by these 2010 and early 2011 images, the condition of the Estate’s structures and grounds had declined precipitously in recent years. In March of 2011, a group of local investors purchased the Estate and initiated much-needed repairs and a thoughtful restoration process.

Although the original structures are more than 80 years old, the Estate retains much of its essential architectural integrity and the majority of its original features. To assure an accurate restoration of the Estate’s 1928 appearance, noted restoration architect John Volz (Volz & Associates, Austin) is providing preservation consultation. Landscape restoration is by Mark Word Design of Austin.
